Plannr.eu came to us with the request to make a marketing website for one of their clients. It was amazing to be able to work with such a promising startup
Decoupled CMS
The website had to be decoupled from the CMS so that the website or CMS logic could be reused for different projects. Obviously, this called for the use of a headless CMS.
For the headless CMS we chose Directus. It met all our requirements and on top of that it's an open source project so it's completely free. Directus allowed us to completely decouple the website logic from the CMS.
The website
Obviously the website itself still contained a lot of log such as fetching from the CMS, applying translations, selecting the right language, etc...
So as the backend framework for the website we chose for Laravel. Simple yet powerful. Laravel is cheap to run, meets all our requirements and is very productive to develop in.
Laravel made developing the website quick and simple, so that we could focus our attention on the harder issues at hand.
